CraftyHarp™ Golden Harp Award 
The CraftyHarp™ Golden Harp Award was created by CraftyHarp™ and LeBlanc Web Development to recognize sites that demonstrate excellence achieved in web design and creativity. All web masters are invited to apply for our award. We also look for sites that present positive exposure of the harp, including performance, education, history, and other areas of harp related learning, manufacturing, or information. The Golden Harp award is to reward sites whose design is outstanding and a pleasant experience for the visitor. It rewards those sites whose subject matter was expertly designed to convey information or awareness to web site visitors about their product, service or organization, as well as those sites featuring the harp, harp players, performers, enthusiasts, harp makers and general enjoyment of one of the most beautiful and ancient instruments.
Many types of sites potentially qualify for the Golden Harp Award. For instance, qualified sites could include:
* E-Commerce Sites. (Excludes any adult or other inappropriate sites that include crude or hateful material).
* Commercial and business sites.
*
Sites that serve as a forum or resource around a certain subject such as the harp.
* Sites dedicated to increasing awareness about a topic or issue.
* Education and resource sites.
* A personal site providing information about their hobby or profession including harpists or harp enthusiast.
* Information providing or resource sites.
Award Criteria
Sites are also judged on the following:
* Overall presentation and creativity.
* Excellence in html and other programming such as Java, Flash, database integration, etc..
* Reasonable loading speed and ease of navigation.
* Workability of site - Do all your links, forms, graphics, scripts, etc. work?
* Automatic Disqualification for any adult, violent, crude, hateful and inappropriate sites.
* Site cannot be a redirect, nor can it contain excessive pop ups and advertising.
Award Submissions
CraftyHarp™ and LeBlanc Web Development are selective about who receives awards and receives many submissions per day. However, we are very fair in our judging process, first considering the excellence of the overall site design and programming. In the interest of promoting award winners, we have a page of links to award winning sites. Winning sites are also automatically added to the CraftyHarp™ Site Directory. We simply ask that if you win our award and choose to display it, that you hyperlink the award back to our site at http://www.craftyharp.com. We will supply the html if you need it.
Sites who submit for an award are generally reviewed within 1-2 weeks by the principals of CraftyHarp™ and LeBlanc Web Development. Winners are sent their awards by email. Currently, we are only able to notify winning sites of their status.
